After a disappointing season with AC Milan, assistant coach Mauro Tassotti is said to be considering his future with the club.

After the disappointing 0-0 draw with Chievo at the weekend Rossoneri coach Filippo Inzaghi is believed to be one bad result away from losing his job, and it is thought assistant Tassotti would take over in the short term.

According to Corriere della Sera, the club’s number one candidate to stand in until the end of the season is Tassotti, however, after a season which has the club currently in 10th place in Serie A and a general feeling of uncertainty due to the possible takeover, it is believed that Tassotti is weighing up his future with Milan.

Tassotti has been at the club since 1980 and joined the coaching staff immediately after retiring in 1997, serving as an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti, Massimiliano Allegri, Clarence Seedorf, as well as Inzaghi.
