AC Milan could bring in Empoli’s Maurizio Sarri to replace under-fire coach Filippo Inzaghi.

Since joining the Rossoneri as a replacement for Clarence Seedorf, Inzaghi’s reign as AC Milan coach has not been ideal, with AC Milan lying in mid-table and unlikely to participate in any European competition next season.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Adriano Galliani is holding a meeting with Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi. Although it has been said that the subject of the discussion will be the future of players Riccardo Saponara and Simone Verdi, who are both co-owned by AC Milan.

However, it is likely that the meeting will eventually be about Sarri’s position as Empoli coach, especially as Galliani has recently made his admiration for the Italian clear.

However it isn’t just the Diavolo who are looking at Sarri, with Bologna also holding an interest to replace Luis Diego Lopez with the 56-year-old coach.
