Fans of struggling Serie A side AC Milan have made a formal request to owner Silvio Berlusconi to discuss the situation that sees the club lying in eighth position in the current league standings.

Ultras of the Curva Sud at the San Siro staged a protest last weekend against Cagliari, leaving huge parts of the ground empty and displaying banners showing their disgust at the current state of the Rossoneri.

“We are hoping to meet with Silvio Berlusconi or his daughter Barbara,” ultra leader Giancarlo Capelli told Ansa. “We are now waiting for a reply, and if we don’t get one before the Sampdoria match then we will continue with our protests.”

Coach Filippo Inzaghi has been under pressure for much of the campaign as his side continues to struggle for consistency, with qualification for European football looking increasingly unlikely.
