Morata - Parma v JuventusArsenal are weighing up a mammoth 80 million bid to land Juventus striker Alvaro Morata in the summer.

The 22-year-old Spanish international has been in good form for the Bianconeri recently after a slow start to his Serie A career, and has usurped Fernando Llorente in the starting eleven.

According to the Metro, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash on a world-class forward in the summer as he looks to build a more meaningful assault on the league title next season.

Juventus are willing to accept 80 million for the talented striker, and would have to split the fee with former club Real Madrid, who have a buy-back option to re-sign him at the end of the season.

Morata has bagged nine goals in 28 matches in all competitions this season for the table-topping Juventus.

This might be the dumbest rumour I’ve ever seen. There’s no chance of Arsenal paying that much for anyone.

Even on a slow news day this is ridiculous.
