Liverpool and Italy striker Mario Balotelli is rumoured to be on the transfer radar at various MLS clubs ahead of their new season.

Balotelli joined Liverpool for around €22 million last summer from AC Milan, but has suffered a troubled campaign in which he’s notched only once in the Premier League.

According to speculation reported in the Metro newspaper, the 24-year-old could join former Juventus star Sebastian Giovinco in North America following his own recent move to Toronto, with a string of sides supposedly wishing to take the Palermo-born attacker to the United States.

Orlando City – about to embark upon their inaugural season at Major League Soccer level – are said to be looking at a possible link up between the maverick forward and another ex-Milan man Kaka, who at 32 years of age is entering the veteran stage of his career.
