Fiorentina defender Jose Basanta says he is chasing Europa League and Coppa Italia glory, as well as Champions League qualification for next season.
The Viola are still in the hunt for two trophies this season, while they are also in the midst for the coveted Champions League spot and the Argentinian international is keen to secure silverware in the coming months.
When pressed by Corriere Fiorentino on which success he’d like to have this season between the Europa League, Coppa Italia and Champions League qualification, Basanta answered cheekily.
“If I have to choose? All three. We are hungry to win, and for me that is important,” Basanta said.
“For this team everything is within reach, we are ninety minutes away from the Coppa Italia final, and also in the Europa League we can have our say.
“[Fiorentina move] Before the World Cup started, I spoke to Fiorentina and [Edoardo] Macia in particular. Then during the tournament we closed the deal.”
