Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia has revealed that his main goal for the remainder of the campaign is to help make sure his team can earn a place in European competition next season.
The Biancocelesti currently sit in third place in the Serie A standings, holding a four point lead over nearest pursuers Sampdoria and sitting just one point behind rivals Roma, and the 29-year-old is hoping that the capital city club can continue their success though he understands that they have several tough opponents coming up in their schedule.
Biglia spoke to TyC Sports while on international duty with Argentina about his priorities for the season with Lazio and commented on what he hopes to achieve next with his national team.
“My only thought right now is to qualify for Europe with Lazio,” said the Argentinian.
“However, I know that the journey is still long and that we still have a number of tough opponents to face.
“After we achieve this goal, then I will focus on doing well in the Copa America with Argentina.”
