Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has admitted that the tactical rigors of the Serie A are much more challenging than the Croatian top flight.
The 22-year-old Croatian international has impressed since joining the club last month from Dinamo Zagreb, establishing himself as first-choice under boss Roberto Mancini.
“In Italy you work a lot on tactics, as at Dinamo they didn’t stress much on this point of view,” Brozovic told Jutarnji.
“Who inspired me? My idols are [Luka] Modric, who is the best in Europe, and Yaya Toure. I model my game around [Frank] Lampard’s however, I’ve always wanted to play like him.
“I’m happy to be at a club with a great tradition. [Mateo] Kovacic has been helping me out since day one. We play PlayStation together, and he’s helping me with the language.”
