Monaco defender Ricardo Carvalho has admitted that Juventus are the firm favourites to qualify from their quarter-finals tie in the Champions League.
The first leg will be played in Turin on April 14, and despite being the underdogs, the Portuguese defender believes the Rouges et Blancs can go through if they put in a determined effort.
“They have a lot of stars and it will be a pleasure to play these two great matches,” he stated on his Twitter account.
“We deserved our qualification to the quarter-finals, we are not favourites but we believe in our chances.
“Focus and ambition will be needed to go through from the quarter-finals.”
Carvalho has three goals in 65 appearances for Monaco since joining from Real Madrid in 2013.
