Former Parma striker Antonio Cassano has admitted in a recent interview that during his career he has turned down the chance of joining Juventus at least four times.

The 32-year-old striker who has also previously played for Bari, Sampdoria, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan has now stated that the Bianconeri were a side that never particularly appealed to him.

“Throughout my career, I have rejected Juventus a total of four times,” said Cassano when interviewed by Channel 5 for their forthcoming programme ‘Heroes- The Sport in the heart’.

“They have never interested me.”

The controversial Italian has also revealed that his one of his biggest regrets during his long spanning career was how he acted during his final stages during his time at Sampdoria, when a falling out with then chairman Riccardo Garrone led to his departure.

“My only regret is my behaviour with Riccardo Garrone, that was a massive mistake,” he admitted.

“I have tried to fix it since but even after all these years it still affects me.”

Cassano who is currently a free agent following his departure from Parma in January has also discussed his plans for the future and whether he is considering the possibility of heading into coaching.

“I do not see myself becoming a coach in the future,” he started. “I would rather be a sporting director and simply be able to watch the games.

“Most importantly, I want to be a role model for my children.”

All this proves is that Cassano is as retarded as everyone thought he was.
