Chiellini - JuventusJuventus defender Giorgio Chiellini says his side must work to match their fellow Champions League quarter-finalists, after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-0 in Germany.

The Bianconeri won their last-16 encounter 5-1 on aggregate, and received countless plaudits for an excellent display in the Westfalonstadion, as they convincingly progressed to the next stage.

“We are delighted with the result and now await the draw, clearly there are some teams that are stronger than others but we must think about ourselves and work to improve and match them,” the 30-year-old told Mediaset.

“Tonight we were always fluid, and despite being shaky at times, we never lost control of the game.”

The Serie A leaders go into the next round with the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona, reaching a stage that Antoino Conte took Juve to in 2013, with Chiellini noting the positives of coach Massimiliano Allegri’s appointment for this season.

“The coaching change has given us something more, because for the first two months we had the desire to prove ourselves as the best team in Italy.

“We are grateful for Conte’s achievements, but we want to prove to everybody, as well as ourselves, that we are a great team.”
