Antonio Conte ItalyThere are fears Antonio Conte will not get the reception he would hope for at Juventus Stadium with the Italy coach returning on Tuesday evening to his former home stadium when the Azzurri face England in Turin.

The 45-year-old coach won three successive Scudetti with the Bianconeri before resigning in July 2014, with the former Siena and Bari coach eventually succeeding Cesare Prandelli as national team boss in August of the same year.

The Turin daily newspaper Tuttosport are reporting that a mixture of disgruntlement at Conte’s untimely resignation and the recent controversy surrounding Claudio Marchisio’s training ground injury could result in a mixed reception for the Juventus legend.

Conte made 419 appearances for The Old Lady during a 13 year playing career at the Stadio delle Alpi, scoring 44 goals while collecting five Serie A titles and playing a commanding role during the successful 1995-96 UEFA Champions League campaign.

Conte reportedly received death threats from angry Juventus fans over the treatment of Marchisio, with the coach’s training methods questioned.
