CriscitoZenit Saint Petersburg fullback Domenico Criscito has thrown his international career in jeopardy after sending out a controversial tweet after being overlooked for the latest Italy squad.

The 28-year-old Italian international has had his problems recently with the national team after withdrawing from the EURO 2012 squad amid suspiscions of match-fixing, whilst it was only a few months ago he lambasted ex-Azzurri boss Cesare Prandelli for leaving him out of the World Cup squad last year.

Criscito has now run the risk of angering current boss Antonio Conte after sending out what looks like a frustrated tweet following his omission from the latest squad.

“???????? Question marks I have been asking myself for a very long time,” Criscito wrote on his Twitter profile.

It remains to be seen how Conte responds to this latest outburst, but the Azzurri coach is known for his discipline and could exclude the defender from future squads.
