Benfica midfielder Bryan Cristante has spoken of the possibility of a return to former club AC Milan and has confirmed that the Rossoneri’s vice-president Adriano Galliani has been in contact.

The 20 year old Italy under-19 international joined Portuguese giants Benfica in the summer of 2014 after failing to cement a first team place at Milan, but has refused to rule out a return in the future.

“Milan was a dream come true when I arrived and it is still a dream for the future,” Cristante told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “It remains a glorious club with great champions.”

Despite being sold by Milan, the midfielder had some positive words for the club’s vice-president.

“I met Galliani a few weeks ago and it was a great pleasure to see him again. He is the best director in Italy and had some kind words for me.”

The youngster also confirmed that the Rossoneri remain in his heart, stating, “I am a Milan fan and who knows, with some more international experience maybe one day I will return.”
