Former Lazio player Vincenzo D’Amico is convinced that the club have a star on their hands in regards to Felipe Anderson.
The 21-year-old Brazilian youth international has burst on the scene this season with a number of sensational performances, which are finally fulfilling the early promise he showed at Santos.
“Felipe Anderson is now number one at Lazio,” D’Amico told Tuttomercatoweb. “He was a mystery last year, but now he is achieving great things and convincing everyone.”
“I was thinking who he is similar to, in this current day. For me, he is currently progressing as much as Neymar, who has more flair though.
“But Felipe Anderson is more powerful. He is a player with great strength in his legs, who has clear ideas when shooting at goal and helping out the midfield.
“[The goal on the weekend against Sassuolo] Yes that should be enough. But I prefer to look at his two assists, which demonstrate the value and class of the player.”
