Antonio Conte brings a winning mentality to the Italian national side according to fullback Matteo Darmian, who also admitted that he would forever be linked with a return to AC Milan.
The 25-year-old is currently with the Azzurri squad preparing for their next Euro 2016 Group H qualifier against Bulgaria on Saturday and revealed that Conte’s approach is helping the squad.
“Conte has brought his technical plans and his tactics,” he told reporters at Italy’s Coverciano training camp, “he is a winner and the results speak for themselves.
“He studies the details very carefully, both the tactical and physical sides.”
Darmian then moved onto discuss his future at Torino amid rumours of a return to Milan.
“I do not know [about my future], now is not the right time to discuss it.
“I am only thinking of impressing with the national team, then I will return fully committed to Torino until the end of the season.
“I have been and will always be linked with the Rossoneri shirt, I owe everything to Milan for where I am right now.”
