Alessandro Diamanti spoke after Fiorentina’s 2–1 away win over Juventus, on Thursday night, in the first leg Coppa Italia semifinals.
Diamanti came on as a substitute following Mohamed Salah, whose brace sealed Fiorentina’s win.
Diamanti spoke after the game, praising his team’s great away performance on the night.
“It is an extraordinary victory and we are very happy,” Diamanti said to RAI Sport.
“We played on par [with Juventus], tried to win, and we had a great game tonight.
“We don’t set any priorities [in terms of Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Europa League], it would be wrong to do so; we step on the pitch knowing what we need to do.”
Fiorentina took a consequent advantage over their two-legged Coppa Italia semifinal clash, leaving the Juventus Stadium with two away goals.
