manuel pasqual italyFiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual has reportedly pulled out of training with Italy’s national team due to an injury.

The 33-year-old was set to be included in coach Antonio Conte’s squad for the Azzurri’s upcoming matches against Bulgaria and England but it now seems like he will remain in Florence in order to recover from a knock he picked up prior to the international break.

According to ViolaChannel.it, the national team doctors have ordered Pasqual to nurse his rib injury and undergo physical therapy to fully heal, which means he will be out of action until he is back at 100 per cent.

Some reports suggest that AC Milan defender Luca Antonelli could step in for the Gigliati veteran during Italy’s upcoming clashes, though Conte is still arranging his line up.

The Azzurri will be facing Bulgaria away in a Euro 2016 qualifier on March 28 and will then battle England at home in Turin for a friendly on March 31.
