Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto has reportedly refused an offer from English Premier League club Liverpool, as the player prepares to bid farewell to the Viola at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has a contract with Fiorentina until June 30 this year and has already announced his intention to leave the club after a four-year spell in Florence.
According to Daily Express, Liverpool approached Neto in the last couple of days, offering him a contract from next season which was, however, rejected by the player.
The former Brazilian youth international is said to have an agreement with Serie A champions Juventus, preferring to continue playing in Italy.
The Bianconeri are hopeful that Neto can become the ideal heir of Gianluigi Buffon in the near future, with the Juventus captain’s career coming to an end.
