Fiorentina midfielder David Pizarro has strongly suggested that next season will be his last at the club and in Italy altogether.

The 35-year-old has been contracted to teams within Serie A for the past 16 years, only leaving the peninsula on two separate loan spells, but his stay could finally end after the 2015/16 season.

“When I return to Chile it will only be for Santiago Wanderers, there is no other team,” the Chile international told Radio Cooperativa.

“My contract with Fiorentina is running out, but it will definitely be renewed for another year.

“I do not want to deceive the fans, but we will see what happens.”

Pizarro has six club honours to his name, with the highlight being three Coppa Italia wins with former clubs Inter and Roma.
