Juan Jesus interFiorentina’s current  good form has forced the club into aiming high as they look to recruit established stars this Summer to bolster their defence.

The Viola sit fifth in Serie A, only three points behind Napoli who occupy the coveted final Champions League spot.  Vincenzo Montella’s side are also in the last 16 of the Europa League, having knocked out the fancied Tottenham Hotspur in the previous round.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported the the club will look to tempt both Inter centre-back Juan Jesus and Torino’s flying full back Matteo Darmianto to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Both players have courted admiring glances from bigger clubs over the course of this campaign and Fiorentina hope to be able to convince the defensive pair into pulling on a purple shirt next season.

The newspaper goes on to say that Montella is also looking at Shakhtar Donetsk’s highly rated midfielder Fernando. The Brazil international joined the Russian club in 2013 for around 11 million from previous side Gremio.
