Faustino Asprilla parmaEx-Parma striker Faustino Asprilla thinks it will be difficult for his old side to find a buyer given the club’s heavy financial debts.

The Colombian forward, who had two stints with the Ducali during the 1990’s, is saddened by developments at the Stadio Ennio Tardini and isn’t hopeful things can be easily put right.

“It’s a complicated situation. Someone is going to have to invest €50 million and I can’t imagine there is anybody out there who would be willing to do that for a side in one of the minor divisions,” he told Marca.

“I love Parma and many Colombians have been fortunate to forge a career in Europe because of them.  I truly hope there is someone with the money to save the club.”

Asprilla, famed for scoring speculator goals, had his most productive period at the Gialloblu between 1992 and 1996 scoring 25 goals in 84 Serie A appearances.
