Torino midfielder Alessandro Gazzi admitted that the Granata were not at their best despite a 2-0 win at Parma on Sunday, though he did state that claiming all three points was important.

The win lifts Giampiero Ventura’s side up to seventh, ahead of the likes of AC Milan and Inter in the race for European football.

“We managed to win a tough game,” Gazzi, who was voted man of the match, admitted to Sky Sport Italia.

“We did not play at our best, but we claimed three important points.

“We cannot think of Europe yet, we have to keep going Sunday after Sunday.”

He went on to discuss the difficulty of facing a Ducali side in such financial disarray.

“Thanks to the Parma players who gave everything.

“We came from an important game and needed the three points. It’s hard to focus in games like this, but we have to think of ourselves.”
