perinGenoa have confirmed goalkeeper Mattia Perin will be sidelined for at least three weeks as a result of the shoulder injury sustained during Sunday’s 1-0 defeat against Juventus.

Perin has also been forced to pull out of international duty, with Lazio shot-stopper Federico Marchetti called up as his replacement for the Azzurri’s games against Bulgaria and England.

“Genoa CFC announces that goalkeeper Mattia Perin was subjected to an MRI scan by professor Enzo Silvestri at the Evangelical Hospital of Genoa and subsequently, has been advised to visit specialist professor Alessandro Castagna in Milan,” a statement on the club’s official website reads.
