Roma executive Mia Hamm has revealed that club president James Pallotta is focused on building a great future for the Lupi and insists that she’s honoured to be a part of the team’s board of directors.

The 42-year-old, who signed on as a Giallorossi director in October 2014, admits that she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work at the capital city club after seeing Pallotta’s vision for the Italian side and she feels that the American owner has given a new energy to the team since his arrival.

Hamm spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the way Pallotta has been working to improve Roma and commented on her own desire to use her experience to help benefit the Serie A club.

“I thought it was a great opportunity to become part of one of the biggest clubs in the world,” said the United States football legend.

“James always looks forward. He’s someone who always does what he thinks and says.

“He wants to use the great history of Roma to help make improvements for the present in order to build a great future for the club.

“But I don’t want to just be here because of my name, I also want to bring my experience to this club in order to help it grow.

“The match with Juventus? I’ve met with Francesco Totti and some of the other players and I can see that they’re excited.

“When you’re close to someone like Pallotta it’s normal, he gives everyone a special energy.”
