Napoli captain Marek Hamsik was disappointed by his side’s performance in the 1-0 loss to Torino.

The Partenopei’s defeat in Turin on Sunday means that they have now lost their last two away games after a 3-1 defeat at Palermo in February.

“We didn’t play well against Torino and that’s why we lost,” the 27-year-old told the club’s official website.

Rafa Benitez’s team have won five of their last seven matches and sit 3rd in Serie A, and the captain admits failing to build on this consistency is disappointing.

“We haven’t been able to provide continuity in our latest results. We are disappointed,” he said.

Hamsik has scored seven goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Napoli this season.
