Marek Hamsik NapoliMarek Hamsik has stressed that despite a two goal advantage from the first leg, Napoli still face a tough fight to qualify for the next round of the Europa League when they take on Dinamo Moscow in Russia on Thursday evening.

The Partenopei recorded a 3-1 win against the Muscovites last week at the Stadio San Paolo thanks to a Gonzalo Higuain hat-trick but the 27-year-old has assured supporters that the Italians will take nothing for granted during the fixture’s return leg.

“We have collected a good result in the first leg but nothing is decided,” the midfielder told Slovakian newspaper Pravda.

“We are expecting a tough challenge but it’s important that we assert the advantage which we gained at the San Paolo. We will try to score an early goal as that would be a big help.”

The Slovakian then turned his attention to Rafael Benitez’s much publicised rotation policy.

“Since we have a Spanish coach we are used to this way of working. Against Hellas [Verona], Higuain was on the bench despite the three goals he scored against Dinamo few days before. I have played 25 games out of the last 27 and so I think that I have no reason to complain as I am among the most used players.

“If the team is playing every three days then there is always a need to make changes.

“Our priority is to get into second place. We have lost so many points, but there are still many games left to be played.”

Napoli currently sit fourth in the Serie A standings, four points behind second placed Roma.
