Roma forward Victor Ibarbo is determined to play his part in the club’s fight for a Champions League berth.

The Colombian joined from Cagliari on an initial loan deal in January but missed much of February and March through injury. He returned prior to the international break, coming off the bench in the win away to Cesena.

“We got a good win at Cesena. Now we have to fight for second place,” Ibarbo told Roma Radio.

“Now I’m back from injury I hope to give everything as I always have since I came to Italy.

“The last ten games are important. There are many teams behind us trying to take advantage of the slightest error. We must be united to remain in second place.”

Ibarbo also hinted as to his desired future with the club.

“I want to do great things with Roma and not just for four months. I want to win championships and compete in the Champions League.”
