Inter are reportedly considering a move for Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng once the 2014-15 season comes to a close.

The 27-year-old, who will be out of a contract with the Bundesliga side in June 2016, is apparently looking to make a premature exit from the club this summer after struggling to make a big impact in the squad this campaign and could be given an option to sign with the Nerazzurri in the coming months.

According to Metro, Inter would be open to buying the former AC Milan man for his reported fee of around €13 million as they plan to strengthen their midfield during the summer, though they may face some competition from fellow pursuers Arsenal.

Some reports suggest, however, that Boateng may be unwilling to join the Biscione after playing for their Rossoneri rivals from 2010-13.

The midfielder has failed to score this season but has provided two assists in his 13 league appearances for the Miners this term thus far.
