Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic could join Roma during the summer transfer window, with Mattia Destro going in the opposite direction in a permanent swap deal.

Roma are in the market for a goalkeeper, with Rudi Garcia keen to secure the services of the 30-year-old Slovenia international as the French coach has lost patience with current keepers Morgan De Sanctis and Lukasz Skorupski.

Twenty-four-year-old Destro is currently on loan at Milan, with the former Siena forward unlikely to feature again for the Giallorossi under Garcia, a permanent summer move is desired by both the player and club.

Il Tempo are reporting Handanovic is keen to leave the San Siro in search of European football when the transfer window reopens, with the highly rated shot-stopper unhappy at the Nerazzurri’s lack of involvement in Europe’s premier club competition.

Destro started his career at the Biscione youth academy before he was sold to Genoa for a fee in the region of €6.5m in January 2011.
