Inter have contacted Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa about taking charge at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza should Roberto Mancini depart the club in the summer.

The 59-year-old, who previously had spells with Athletic Bilbao and the Argentine national team, is currently at the helm of French giants Olympique Marseille, with his contract set to end in June 2016.

RMC Sport reports that Inter have already made inquires about Bielsa’s availability in June as they are worried that Roberto Mancini could depart the Nerazzurri despite only being appointed in November.

Mancini signed a two and a half year contract after returning to the club, but it is believed that it includes a get-out clause should he wish to walk away at the end of the current season.

This is not the first time that Bielsa has been linked with the coaching position at Inter and it is understood that he was close to being appointed by former president Massimo Moratti in 2011 before Gian Piero Gasperini was eventually handed the reigns.
