Mario MandzukicJuventus are considering bidding for Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic.

The Serie A leaders already have a strong line-up of attackers, with the likes of Fernando Llorente and Alvaro Morata netting in recent weeks as well as star forward Carlos Tevez – but, the Argentinian may be on his way out at the end of the season and a Champions League quality forward would then be needed.

As El Mundo Deportivo report, this could be in the form of Croatian striker Mandzukic, with the Old Lady studying their chances of signing the 28-year-old, who they attempted to bring to Turin last Summer, before his move to Spain.

However, they face stiff competition from Premier League clubs – including Arsenal and Manchester City – with a fee of €30 million being touted and City able to offer Serbian forward Stefan Jovetic as a bargaining tool.

The size of that deal may force the Bianconeri out of the equation for the man who has netted 17 goals for Atletico in 31 apperances.
