After playing a key role in Monday evening’s draw with Roma, Juventus are set to make one last concerted effort to persuade Carlos Tevez to extend his current contract with the club.

The Argentine forward has become a pivotal player for the Bianconeri since joining from Manchester City in 2013, but he has always maintained his intention to depart Turin at the end of his current deal in 2016, in order to finish his career at his boyhood side Boca Juniors.

Tuttosport understands that Juventus are extremely keen to keep Tevez at the club beyond this period and they have already prepared a blank contract for the 31-year-old which is only missing his signature. It is believed, however, that Tevez’s heart remains set on returning to Argentina.

Recent reports have suggested that Juventus have marked Palermo’s Paulo Dybala as their number one target to replace Tevez in the event of his departure.
