Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Kampl has said Juventus were better than his team.
Die Schwarzgelben were defeated 3-0 by La Vecchia Signora on Wednesday night in the Champions League Round of 16, which meant the Italians advanced through to the quarter finals after a final aggregate on 5-1, and Kampl said that they deserved to go through.
“Juventus were extremely clear with all their experience,” the Slovenian said.
“We didn’t create enough chances and were not in the danger zones often enough,” he added.
Carlos Tevez scored a wonder goal in the first couple of minutes to put the Italian champions ahead, which Kampl says Dortmund should have attempted.
“Up until 20 meters before their goal we did a good job, but then we looked for a pass too often instead of taking a shot.
“Juve did better in that regard and scored a dream goal from it,” the 24-year-old said.
