Roma midfielder Seydou Keita has revealed that he would be happy to continue his career with the Lupi if he were offered a contract renewal.

The 35-year-old will be out of a contract with the Giallorossi in June and has previously admitted that there haven’t been any talks of him signing a new deal as of late, though he insists that he would remain at the capital city club if given the option.

Keita spoke through his official Twitter page on Friday to thank all of the Roma fans who have sent him their support in his quest for a renewal and commented on his future at the Italian side.

“Thanks for all of the messages of support,” said the Malian international, who has scored two goals and provided one assist in his 19 Serie A appearances this term thus far.

“This support has given me strength to work even harder. If all parties come to an agreement, I would be happy to stay at Roma.”
