Lazio CurvaLazio have reportedly been fined after the capital city club’s supporters were caught directing territorial chants at Napoli fans during the recent Coppa Italia clash between the two sides.

The Biancocelesti will have to pay a fine of €20,000 for their fans’ misbehaviour during the semi-final first leg against the Partenopei at the Stadio Olimpico on March 4, which ended in a 1-1 draw, with the punishment being given by Serie A sporting judge Gianpaolo Tosel.

According to CalcioNews24.com, the Lazio supporters were guilty of aiming the discriminating chants at the visiting Napoli fans several times throughout the match, which has been backed by police present to witness the game.

“The Lazio supporters are guilty of, in the 4th and 34th minutes of the first half and the 9th, 10th and 18th minutes of the second half, addressing the opposing team’s supporters with insulting chants of territorial discrimination,” said Tosel during his ruling.

The Aquilotti will be facing the Azzurri in the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg at the San Paolo on April 8.
