Lazio midfielder Marco Parolo feels that his side have excelled in many facets of their organisation during the recent run of positive results.
The Biancocelesti have notched three straight wins and are closing in on third place Napoli in the Serie A standings, who have just a two-point lead.
Parolo spoke during the Italia One program ‘Tiki Taka’ on the many qualities of his side, starting with remarks on the 3-0 victory over Sassuolo.
“The win against Sassuolo is important to close the gap in the standings,” said the 30-year-old. “The secret is that we all run and always help the team.
“We have an example like [Miroslav] Klose, the top scorer of the World Cup. He’s the first that comes to training and to have him in the team is an inspiration for all.”
The Italian added his respects to coach Silvio Pioli and the city of Rome.
“Then there’s the coach who is always good,” he said. “He always makes us focus on our goal, which is European competition. I understand the importance of living in Rome, for us it is an honour to wear the Biancocelesti kit.
