Lazio starlet Felipe Anderson has revealed that he is dreaming of a call-up to the Brazil national team after a number of sensational performances in Serie A this season.
The Brazilian youth international underlined his credentials in a 3-0 win away at Sassuolo on Sunday by scoring his sixth goal of the campaign and providing his sixth assist.
“It is difficult not to think about how it would be nice to have a chance in the national team,” the 21-year-old told futnet.com.br.
“But I have always dealt with the question of the call as something that will happen naturally.
“I am doing my best for Lazio and hope that such things will happen in due time.
“If the call comes, it will be one of the best days of my life.
“If not, I will continue to work with the same attention and effort looking at the next opportunity.
“I am very happy, I am currently enjoying the wonderful moment that Lazio are going through, but always have the goal of improving every day.
“By following this mentality every day I am reaching all the objectives I have in mind.”
