Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has asked the Blaugrana board to sign Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, as he deems it necessary to reinforce his attack with a physically fit centre-forward.

The 30-year-old Spanish international is having a non-prolific Serie A campaign, but is still attracting interest from big clubs around Europe with Barcelona being the most recent suitor.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Enrique himself has asked for a ‘[Henrik] Larsson’ type of player to complete the attack.

Llorente is on top of Enrique’s list of desired strikers, with Edin Dzeko from Manchester City lined up as an alternative.

The centre-forward nicknamed El Rey León has managed to make 32 appearances this season, netting only seven goals for Juventus across all competitions.
