Manchester City have reportedly taken an interest in Sampdoria and Italy midfielder Roberto Soriano.
The 24-year-old central midfielder is currently in Antonio Conte’s Azzurri squad and he has had an impressive campaign with the Doriani this season.
According to The Daily Mail, Manchester City are looking to add versatile midfielders to their roster next season and the German-born Soriano matches the criteria.
The Doria midfielder has regularly played in central midfield for Sinisa Mihajlovic’s team this season but he can play as an attacking midfielder and also on the left side of the midfield.
Aside from the Citizens, Serie A giants Inter and German Bundesliga side Schalke are interested in luring the midfielder away from Sampdoria.
Soriano has played twice for Italy and he came on as a substitute in the Azzurri’s 2-2 draw against Bulgaria on Saturday night.
