It seems that the jewel in Lazio’s attacking crown, Felipe Anderson, is not the only player attracting major interest from across Europe.
But Stefan de Vrij’s performances have been the subject of interest from Manchester United with manager Louis van Gaal needing no introduction to the player who he coached during their time with the Dutch national side.
According to a TMW report, scouts from the Red Devils observed the 23-year-old during the Aquile’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday and brought back favourable reports about him from their trip.
De Vrij joined the Eternal City side last summer from Feyenoord for an undisclosed fee although he had been closely linked with a move to Manchester even then.
He has excelled in his maiden season in the peninsula with 25 appearances so far this campaign.
