Chievo coach Rolando Maran was pleased with his player’s spirit after their 1-0 win over Palermo.
The Flying Donkeys boss was happy at how his side overcame the Rosanero’s pressure to secure victory and move a step closer to safety.
“It was an extremely important win against a great side,” said Maran to Sky Sport Italia after the game.
“Palermo put us in difficulty even if we could have won by more than the one goal.
“It’s a shame that we missed a penalty, but we got the win nevertheless.”
Maran also spoke about Chievo’s objective of Serie A survival.
“We’ve taken important steps towards this objective and it weighs less upon us but we will continue up until the end with this spirit.”
