Chievo forward Riccardo Meggiorini believes his side have taken a major step to securing their safety in Serie A after Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Palermo.
Meggiorini assisted on Alberto Paloschi’s lone strike in the first half and despite his impressive individual performance, the Italian was proud of the effort shown by the Flying Donkeys as a whole.
“Assists are moments that change a match,” he told Sky Sport Italia after the match.
“I am happy for me, for Paloschi and for the entire squad. We deserve what we are achieving.
“We have taken some key steps in our fight for safety, now it is in our hands.
“Credit must be given to the support as they help us remain relaxed, now we have found our balance. ”
