Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic praised his side after they came from behind to beat Atalanta 2-1.
Goals from Luis Muriel and Stefano Okaka inspired the Blucerchiati in what was a merited win.
“It was a very important victory even though it was a game of two halves,” Mihajlovic told Rai Sport.
“In the first half we were too slow, luckily half-time approached where we had a chance to review some things.
“In the second half we came into it with a different attitude, I knew that our three forwards, with the help of the team, could make a difference.”
The Samp coach then talked about new signing Eto’o and how happy he was with his performance.
“He has shown a great spirit to sacrifice his game and he was very important in our second goal.”
