Manolo Gabbiadini NapoliRafael Benitez almost seemed frustrated with the attacking headaches at his disposal as he discussed the embarrassment of riches his side possess in that department.

Lorenzo Insigne is back in full training although Sunday night’s game against Inter may come too soon for him and the same goes for Michu but with Marek Hamsik, Jose Callejon, Jonathan de Guzman, Dries Mertens, Duvan Zapata and Gonzalo Higuain he is unlikely to be too worried.

Oh, and Manolo Gabbiadini who he was quizzed about given that he has five goals in all competitions for the Partenopei but still does not seem to be a certain starter under Benitez: “Much has been made of the talk about Mertens and Insigne beside each other. Then it was Zapata and Higuain… Now there is so much talk of Manolo.

“The competition we have is good for everyone. When one does not play your have to understand that others come in of high quality and we have a lot of games too.

“The return of Insigne will come soon too but [Walter] Gargano will be out for two weeks for us.”

When turning his attention to the Nerazzurri on Sunday night, Benitez admitted it could be a potential season turner for either side.

“I think the game between two of Italy’s strongest sides could be a reference point we look at. These are two very strong teams and we will both want to show that during the game.

“Inter are strong and reinforced in January and now seem to have a better balance on the field.”
