Napoli v Atalanta Napoli defender Henrique was baffled after the game, revealing his confusion at the refereeing decision that allowed Atalanta’s Mauricio Pinilla to score.

Napoli had to rescue a point at home, with Duvan Zapata striking late to equalise and make it 1–1 against 10-men Atalanta.

Pinilla came from behind Henrique to pick the ball off him, an intervention Henrique felt should have been adjudged a foul. The refereeing allowed play to continue however, resulting in a goal and leaving Henrique and Napoli dumbfounded by the non-call.

“I was touched,” Henrique told Mediaset Premium.

“It would have been foolish for me to take a dive in that position.

“I do not know what the referee saw or what he thought he saw.

“Even the assistant referee did not see anything; It was a decisive decision that changed the game.”

Not just Henrique but Napoli have already made their thoughts of the referee known through the club’s official Twitter account, blasting Gianpaolo Calvarese’s performance and calling for refereeing standards to be improved.
