The father of Paolo Maldini has suggested that the AC Milan legend could make a return to the club.

The Rossoneri’s possible new advanced shareholder, Bee Tawuchabol, reportedly views Maldini as the ideal coach for the side, and now the father of the former club captain has hinted that his son may hold the necessary career ambitions.

“Returning to Milan is his dream,” commented Cesare Maldini, the father of the five-time European Cup and Champions League winner, to TuttoMercatoWeb.

“The dream has all the great former players, and Milan remains the club he wants to go back to.”

Despite adding to the rumours surrounding the imcumbent Filippo Inzaghi, Maldini Senior still believes that the former striker should be given more time to prove himself.

“The task of the coach is to manage the team, especially at times which are complicated. Ending up at the centre of controversy is part of the game. So I think it is right to give him more time.”
