Former Parma attacker Adriano has spoken of the turmoil at the crisis-hit club but has no doubt the Ducali will return to glorious times.

Between 2002 and 2004, the Brazilian forward became part of a golden era for the Gialloblu and his stellar performances catapulted him into the limelight, earning himself a move to Milan giants Inter.

“Parma gave me so much, I feel so sad right now,” he said to Tuttomercatoweb. “The club is in my heart and words fail me. I only have incredible memories from my time there.

“But I’m certain they will return to be as great as they once were because their fans and the history there deserves it.”

Adriano was part of a Parma team that boasted the likes of Fabio Cannavaro, Adrian Mutu, Alberto Gilardino, Marco Di Vaio and Hidetoshi Nakata.  In his time at the Stadio Ennio Tardini, the Brazilian netted 23 times in just 37 appearances.
