Fiorentina skipper Manuel Pasqual was full of praise for his side after last night’s 2-1 home win over struggling giants AC Milan.

The Viola went a goal down in the second half after Mattia Destro had steered the Rossoneri ahead, but a superb fightback with strikes from Gonzalo Rodriguez and Joaquin in the last seven minutes of the game, gave Vincenzo Montella’s men all three points.

“We were much slicker than Milan because we rotated our squad really well,” he told Firenzeviola.it. “What really stood out last night was that after we equalised nobody celebrated as we knew we could go on and win the match.”

The defeat leaves Filippo Inzaghi clinging to his job as coach of the San Siro outfit, with rumours suggesting Empoli’s Maurizio Sarri, Parma’s Roberto Donadoni and Vincenzo Montella himself all in line to take his place.
