Zbigniew Boniekzibi boniekThe head of the Polish FA and ex-Juventus forward, Zibì Boniek, has praised the abilities of striker Carlos Tevez.

Speaking in the lead up to his country hosting the Europa League final in Warsaw, the former player discussed the progress of the Bianconeri as well as the progress of other Italian sides in Europe.

Appearing on Radio Onda Libera, the former Polish international praised the Turin side giving particular note to the team’s Argentinian striker, Carlos Tevez.

“Juventus are always very strong thanks to the attacking potential.” said the 59 year old. “Tevez is simply amazing. Juventus have an established tradition of good forwards and Tevez is definitely one of the best they’ve ever had.”

Boniek did however suggest that Juventus had a favorable draw, with the team set to play their next Champions League round against AS Monaco.

“Let’s just say it was not bad. The Bianconeri have done well and can win because they are playing great football and their strikers are very strong.”

Turning his attention back to the Europa League final in Warsaw, the former Bianconeri player, also said he was disappointed not to see Polish native Kamil Glik in the final of the Europa League with Torino.

“It is a beautiful competition and for the first time we can host the winners of the Europa League. I was hoping that our Glik could get there with the Torino,” he said. “They did not deserve to go out against Zenit.”

The Polish FA head finished off by highlighting the chances of Napoli and Fiorentina to make the final in Warsaw.

“The opportunities are there, they are two teams that have good players.”
